Every single year in the NBA there are rookies that get ridiculous hype before the NBA Draft, but most of these rookies never amount to anything but role players for superstars. Every now and then though you get a diamond in the rough like Kobe Bryant, Dwyane Wade and LeBron James.

The one rookie that is getting the superstar hype this season is the Los Angeles Clippers number draft pick from Oklahoma in Blake Griffin. There have been few freakishly athletic players like forward Blake Griffin. He is the total package, he may struggle with the shot, but he has the strength, the high flying ability and post game to be one of the most dominant big men in the game. The Cavs will be fun to bet online this NBA season.

In my opinion, his athletic ability reminds me of LeBron James and his fundamentals and strength in the paint reminds me of Tim Duncan. That is one hell of a combination which should be the missing piece the puzzle for the struggling Los Angeles Clippers.

The Clippers might not be close to title contenders yet with the addition of Griffin at forward, but it definitely makes them a force to be reckoned with in the Western Conference. They will have their work cut out for them with the Los Angeles Lakers, San Antonio Spurs and the Denver Nuggets, but I believe they will be able to compete in a competitive West next season if they can strike up some team chemistry.
